MVPD Services, LLC provides affordable assistance with required Federal Communications Commission ("FCC") and Federal Aviation Administration ("FAA") technical filings as they relate to Multichannel Video Programming Distributors ("MVPDs").
An example of an MVPD is a hotel/motel, retirement community, apartment complex, cable television, or educational institution (e.g., university) system operator that owns and/or manages its own video system. However, many non-cable MVPDs are unaware that they are defined as MVPDs, and may not know about certain requirements. Certain technical activities and filings are required by the FCC, and MVPD Services, LLC is here to help operators determine applicability and, if necessary, to comply with those requirements.
In August 2012 the FCC issued a Public Notice announcement reminding non-cable MVPDs of the requirement to obtain non-cable registration via an FCC Form 321 - Aeronautical Frequency Notification ("AFN"), and to comply with the signal leakage monitoring requirements.
